Science of Jams

Our Story

The Jam Lab was founded in 2020 by Shaquille Hinds. After working as a chef in Michelin starred restaurants across Europe, Shaquille dipped his culinary knowledge and experience into creating unique jam flavour combinations that you will be hard pressed to find in any supermarket. 

 

The taste of our jams will be with the fruit first, followed by a balanced complimentary flavour. All of our jams are dairy free and suitable for vegetarian and vegans. 

We take UK sourced seasonal fruits and intermix with unorthodox pairings which enhance the flavour of the fruits. Theses jams can be eaten as a spread on toast, sandwiches, croissants or crackers and cheese. They will elevate your porridge or rice pudding and give a unique twist for desserts in cake, pancake and doughnut fillings.

Strawberry & Balsamic

No fruit defines the summer more than the strawberry. From  it’s sweet scented aroma to it’s juicy, sweet and slightly acidic  taste. With this jam, the addition of balsamic vinegar enhances the acidity of the strawberries, whilst  providing the perfect balance of sweetness.

SUMMER 2023

Spiced Pumpkin

We have taken Crown Prince pumpkin and paired it with the traditional combination of pumpkin spice. The final concoction is a vibrant orange jam that is easy on the eyes. The earthy and naturally sweet flavour from the pumpkin combined with the iconic and warm taste of pumpkin spice will truly encapsulate the flavour of Autumn.
